I thought I'd left Blackwater, Texas behind for good. I didn't belong in the small town, but my dad wouldn't listen. The chopped hair and dark devil-may-care attitude warned most people away, but I knew if I fought hard enough, I could find the lost girl.

Such a beautiful,intense and emotional story.I have read all of Rachel's books, but this one was different. Its so nice geting to see another side of Rachel! And now I can officially say that I would like to read more books from her in this genre.



This is a YA book that dealings with some heavy issues.Lilah, our main heroine is haunted by her past.She has a lot of insecurities and she doesn't open up easily .Especially now that she is back in her hometown and has to live under the same roof as her childhood friend Chase.Due to the fact that Chase's father is drunk, Chase must live with Lilah and her father.Things aren't the same between Chase and Lilah.



But Chase is there for Lilah.He is sweet, patient and he cares for Lilah.And he is the one that he will try to break the wall that she has built around herself. I loved how everything develops slowly in this story. Both have what the other needs.

I believe that everyone should read this story.I highly recommend it!!
