SUMMARY

Ryke Meadows, meet Daisy Calloway ... she’s all grown up.

Twenty-five-year-old Ryke Meadows knows he’s hard to love. With a billion-dollar inheritance, a track-star resume, and an alpha-male personality—he redefines the term likable asshole. But he’s not living to make friends. Or enemies. He just wants to free climb three of the toughest mountains in Yosemite without drama or interruption.

And then he receives a distressed call from a girl in Paris—a girl that he has never been allowed to have.

Daisy Calloway is eighteen. Finally. With her newfound independence, she can say goodbye to her overbearing mother and continue her modeling career. Next stop, Paris. Fashion Week begins with a bang, and Daisy uncovers the ugly reality of the industry. She wants to prove to her family that she can live on her own, but when everything spirals out of control, she turns to Ryke to keep her secrets.

As Daisy struggles to make sense of this new world and her freedom, she pushes the limits and fearlessly rides the edge. Ryke knows there’s deep hurt beneath every impulsive action. He must keep up with Daisy, and if he lets her go, her favorite motto—“live as if you’ll die today”—may just come true.

INTERVIEW

1- What is it like to write together with your sister? Does being sisters make it easier to work together or just the opposite?

Becca: It’s really fun because we constantly bounce ideas off of each other, and we’re not afraid to tell each other if the idea is stupid or brilliant. We can be harsh without fearing hurting the other one’s feelings. I definitely think being sisters is an advantage because we’re able to blend our writing voices without much of a problem.

Krista: Agreed! If I was writing with a friend, I think I might be worried to tell the person if I don’t like one of her ideas. But with Becca, we’re really quick to tell each other if we hate something. Though, we try to be kind about it :)

2What genre of books do you like to read?

Becca: This is easier said in what I don’t like to read. I won’t read historical (sorry!) or steampunk. I just can’t get into them. I really love science fiction and fantasy, but contemporary romance is what we grew up reading. It’s our home turf.

Krista: Home turf! Love it! Contemporary romance is one of my favs. I also love me some werewolves, and anything with dystopian and science fiction elements. High fantasy isn’t my favorite but Leigh Bardugo’s Shadow and Bone has made me a convert.

3- What inspired you to create the series as a whole and more specifically the original concept of Lily and Loren's addictions?

Becca: Krista came up with the concept. She really wanted to write about a female sex addict, and we decided that we needed to pair Lily with a common addiction since hers was so taboo. She needed to be grounded, and we were afraid people would think her addiction was unbelievable because they just hadn’t heard of it that much. So we added in Loren’s alcohol addiction as a reference point for readers.  We also knew we were going to be taking a risk by starting their lives before rehab. They didn’t want to get help in Addicted to You, but we really wanted to show their whole journey. From start to finish.

Krista: Perfect explanation :)

4- Do you have a favorite couple/character in the series? Was it easier to create storylines for certain characters as oppossed ot others?

Becca: Yep! We keep each other in check because we have our favorites. I have an easier time writing Ryke & Daisy. I will write them all day long. Connor and Rose, we both agree, are so much fun and I think we love them on an equal scale. But Krista is the master at writing Lily and Lo. I have to match her humorous, quirky, witty voice to get Lily down. I love them to death, but I definitely gravitate towards Daisy & Ryke.

Krista: We’re complete opposites when it comes to writing, which I think just benefits us as a writing team even more. I think that’s why we end up having different favorite characters. My favorite couple will always be Lily & Lo. It’s been four months since we’ve written in their POVs and I’m dying to return to their story.

5- Will there be a follow up to Daisy and Ryke's story or just one novel about them?

Becca: We’re thinking about a follow up novel. And if it happens, it’ll be the very last book with the Addicted series gang.

Krista: Yeah, we’re contemplating adding a “phase four” to the series. There would be two books after Addicted After All. One for Rose and Conner and one for Daisy and Ryke. It really just depends on what happens in AAA. If we think all the characters have enough closure by AAA, then we’ll leave it at that.

6-What are your plans for the future?

Becca: To write TONS of romance books! This has been such a dream and we’re going to try to keep living it as long as we can. We’re working on two stand-alone novels outside of the series, we have a new series planned as well, and we’re currently finishing up the Addicted series. And like we said, we may add a couple more books to it.

Krista: Haha! Love Becca’s answer. Yes, just write our hearts out!

Thanks for having us on your blog <3 <3

  1. I love this series! I'm anxious and nervous to read Hot House Flower. Its hard for me as a parent to think its OK for an 18 year old to be with a 25 year old, but I recall being 18 and I totally would've gone out with a 25 year old man!
