1. Tell us a little bit about your latest book?
My new release is NEVER TEAR US APART and it's about a couple who were brought together in the worst of circumstances when they were younger (a kidnapping). They formed a strong bond in that short amount of time they were together and years later, they end up together again, the bond just as strong if not stronger. But my hero Ethan is keeping his true identity secret from Katherine. And this isn't good because you know she's going to find out and the you know what is going to hit the fan...
2. What makes it different from your others books?
NEVER TEAR US APART goes back and forth between the past and present, something I've never done before in a book and I enjoyed writing it that way - how the past reflects the present and vice versa. While my previous series for my publisher was very sexy (downright erotic), this book isn't erotic at all. It's more about the emotional connection between two people. Plus I tackle some tough subjects, ones that I hope I wrote with enough sensitivity so as not to offend the readers.
3. What inspired you to write this book?
I've always been fascinated with true crime, both reading about it and watch documentaries on TV, and I don't know, I just somehow came up with this twisted, weird story and melded my two favorite topics - true crime/serial killers and romance. Talk about unconventional. I warned my editor when I started talking to her about my idea and thankfully she didn't say I was a complete weirdo for coming up with it. She's been very encouraging.
4.What do you think makes a good story?
Interesting characters, a seemingly overwhelming problem that the characters must face, a swoon-worthy hero, a smart heroine, fast pacing and of course, a satisfying happily ever after.
