Sunday, October 18, 2015

Bestowed with eternal life by the Ancient Vasilios, Alasdair Kyriakous is one of the most feared and ruthless vampires in existence. His name carries weight across all of the seven continents. But he is a mystery to his kind, an anomaly among the self-indulgent. While he enjoys the pleasures of the flesh, he is exceptionally particular in his choice of partners and prides himself on his ironclad self-control. Yet with one look his control will become a thing of the past, and Alasdair will discover that eternal life doesn’t always last forever…

Thrust into a world he could never have imagined, Leo Chapel awakens in his worst nightmare. Taken hostage by the dangerously mesmerizing vampire, Alasdair, Leo must rely on his intelligence to escape before he reveals a secret he isn’t even aware he’s hiding.
Unaware that they’ve been brought together by an outside force and are little more than pawns to a higher power, Alasdair and Leo spend time trying to uncover the other’s secrets, the attraction between them growing stronger all the while. But enemies are watching and preparing to act against them. When decisions that will alter lives and destinies have to be made—can a dead, grey heart learn to beat again?

What inspired you to write Alasdair?
I have always loved PNR. Especially vampires. I didn’t however want to write a story about them unless I could find a backstory that was really different and unique. So when I stumbled across a tale that began with the Greek Gods I was instantly hooked and knew I had to work out a way to write it.
Can you tell us a little about your next book in this series?
Yes! Isadora. It’s funny, when I went into this story I really wanted it to be different. These vampires all have a story to tell and will be explored through all three novels. Isadora will pick up where we leave off in book one, and it will continue to tell the story of Alasdair and Leo along with the other members of the cast. They are all so vital to one another that there was just no way to tell these stories separately and as I move forward, I think people will see why.
Now that you have tried a wide array of genres, can you tell us which is your favorite?
I don’t have a favorite. I like to write all kinds of stories and I think if you’re a reader of mine you know to expect the unexpected. In the end that is why I am a writer. To create all different kinds of worlds to escape into, and for me that includes different genres. I love all kinds of romance, male and female, male and male, and even female and female. Every story should be represented when it comes to tales of love. Because in the end, we are all looking for it…aren’t we?
Tell us 5 things about you that your readers don't know?
I love watching cheesy horror flicks I have a terrible sailor’s mouth (Although that may not be a surprise) I love to listen to Disney Soundtracks If I could stay in my PJ’s all day I likely would (glamorous I know) And the last one…hmmm I’m not telling haha!
Do you have a particular genre you favor when looking for your next read?
Nope! As long as it’s romance. I also tend to steer clear of what I am writing at the time. Just so I can keep my own nice and fresh in my mind.
Out of all the characters you've created, do you have a favorite and if yes who?
Yes I do. Tate Morrison. I love that guy. He came to me when I least expected it. I always had Logan there, he was simmering on the back burner in Edible, but when I was searching for his perfect person, I never dreamed I would find and fall in love with Tate as hard as I did.
Do you have anything else in the works? Books you're working on?
The only things I have in the works right now are Isadora and Thanos’s stories. They will be out relatively quickly too. One in January and the next to follow soon after.
Beyond that, anything is possible!
