This was an emotional read. I loved the story so much that I simply wish there were more to read! I haven't read a book from this series before and now I'm intrigued to know how the other couples meet! Meredith Walters has her own unique way of telling her stories. Her characters are realistic and so far from what I have read, she always uses antiheroes. But each time the characters have their own unique qualities! And I like that because it's nice to read about characters that are not perfect! This makes them more real and easy to connect with!
Gracie and Mitch were best friends,but apart from this Mitch was in love with her. Gracie didn't feeling ready for something more. Spending a night together will change their lives and break them apart. Now after one year it's time to meet again, both feel hurt. But also they still ave feelings for each other but are afraid to show them.. Can these two finally manage to be together as friends again or something more?
I enjoyed reading about these two trying to find the relationship they have before as friends, even though now things are different for both still they try. Gracie tries to have a new life now that she is back from rehab but her mother is so controlling. Mitch has now a relationship with Sophie and he still feels devastated from Gracie. Now that she is back he can't stop thinking about her.
Mitch is so cute and sweet. He really loved Gracie and cared for her! I loved Gracie,she finally understood what a big mistake she made leaving Mitch behind. But she tries really hard to get back what they had! She was so nice I like her and I could relate with her! Both have missed each other, the moments they have together as friends and now is the time to spend time together again!

I realized I was staring. Mitch knew I was staring.So of course he purposefully gave his girlfriend his attention, his body angled towards me but his head bent low so that his face was close to Sophie’s. He pushed the hair back off her forehead. His eyes were on her face and he gave her soft smile that I recognized only too well.A smile that I had thought, at one time, was only for me.Get over it, Gracie! It’s been a year! What did you think would happen? That he’d pine over you forever? Get a grip!
I started to turn away when Mitch looked back towards me, his eyes locking on mine. I forgot how to breathe.My heart thudded almost painfully in my chest. My mouth went dry and my hands began to tremble. A need that I had almost forgotten about thrummed through my body. My belly tightened and my nipples hardened. The air hummed and sizzled. I was altered completely. Just by a look.
How had I never felt this electricity between us before? The answer was obvious.I had been totally blind. I hadn’t wanted to see it. Because if I had acknowledged it, everything would have changed.
