Cunning. Sex. Pure nerve. Only this potent threesome can raise him
to his rightful place as ruler of Manhattan's kink kingdom.

Bouncing from bed to bed on the Upper East Side—handsomely paid in both bills and blackmail fodder—Kingsley Edge is brilliant, beautiful and utterly debauched. No carnal act or chemical compound can relieve his self-destructive apathy—only Søren, the one person he loves without limit or regret. A man he can never have, but in whose hands Kingsley is reborn to attain even greater heights of sin. He plans to open the ultimate BDSM club: a dungeon playground for New York's A-list that'll change the scene forever.

Debra's review

4 STARS

In The King by Tiffany Reisz we finally get Kingsley 'King’ Edge’s full story. As a true Original Sinners fan my expectations of King’s book were very high and, once again, Tiffany Reisz did not disappoint. Even though it took me a little while to fully get into the story, this author, as usual, managed to completely win me over with her brilliant storytelling.
At the beginning of the story, we learn all about King when he was just a 'simple' strip club owner. During that time it had also been 11 years since he last saw Søren and unrequited love had turned him into a miserable alcohol and sex addict who went through life in a numb state. As the story continues, we get to know more and more about how King became the ultra-powerful bdsm club owner he is today. And let me tell you, it's one heck of a journey that will keep you entertained the entire time you're reading. But, of course, I wouldn't have expected anything less from Kingsley Edge.
The King mostly centers around Kingsley and Søren, but who also played a huge part in the story was Sam. She and King have a very special relationship and all their constant banter often cracked me up. Her presence in the story made for some happy, lighter parts, next to the more serieus and sometimes heartbreaking scenes between King and Søren.
Overall, I really enjoyed this new addition to the Original Sinners series. Perhaps this wasn't my favorite book in the series, but if you've read and loved the previous books, then The King is an absolute must read. And if you're new to the series, I would highly recommend giving it a try!

Tiffany Reisz lives with her fiancé (a reformed book reviewer) and two cats (one good, one evil). She graduated with a B.A. in English from Centre College in Danville, Kentucky and is making both her parents and her professors proud by writing BDSM erotica under her real name. She has five piercings, one tattoo, and has been arrested twice.
When not under arrest, Tiffany enjoys Latin Dance, Latin Men, and Latin Verbs. She dropped out of a conservative southern seminary in order to pursue her dream of becoming a smut peddler. Johnny Depp’s aunt was her fourth grade teacher. Her first full-length novel THE SIREN was inspired by a desire to tie up actor Jason Isaacs (on paper). She hopes someday life will imitate art (in bed).
If she couldn’t write, she would die.
