I have long awaited Thomas's story, from book one in the Scanguards Vampires series. From the moment Thomas's heart was broken, and from the moment he met Eddie and became his mentor.

Thomas is a loving, kind and smexy vampire, that has a passion for restoring antique motorbikes. One of Scanguards vampires, he takes on the role of Eddie's mentor, helping him cope with his new existence as a vampire. And in the process falls irrevocably and hopelessly in love with him. Hopeless is his love, for Eddie is straight, and would never imagine Thomas as anything other than a friend.

Eddie a newbie vampire, started his new life on the wrong side of the vampire law. With the help of Scanguards Vampires and Thomas's mentoring, Eddie is finally on track with his life as a bodyguard at Scanguards. That's until he finds out about Thomas's feelings for him. Eddie, first in denial and scared, attempts to forget and avoid Thomas. But how can he forget or deny the feelings Thomas rouses in him. Feeling that were long berried, from fear of disappointing those around him. Fear of the unknown, from feelings he was taught to be forbidden.

When holding back from Thomas and hesitating to commit to a relationship, Eddie doesn't realize the consequences his actions have caused. His actions leading to Thomas losing his long time battle of control over his dark power...and maybe even losing Thomas forever. I guess you should read the book to find out what happens *evil laugh*

I can say I'm very satisfied with the way this story unfolded. I did at times find it predictable, but I was still very interested in everything that went on in the book. Scanguards Vampires never disappoint. Filled with smexy vampires and their mates, kick ass action...even the R rated version and sweet lovin'.
